Side effects

Some common side effects of COREG CR include:

  • Shortness of breath
  • A slow heartbeat
  • Weight gain
  • Feeling tired (fatigue)
  • Low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Dizziness
  • Faintness
  • Runny nose / sore throat
If you have any of these symptoms while taking COREG CR, call your doctor right away.

If you are more tired than normal or feel dizzy, you should sit or lie down. You should also avoid driving and doing dangerous tasks. Beta-blockers may hide the symptoms of an overactive thyroid or low blood sugar, or may change your blood sugar levels. People with diabetes should tell their doctor about any changes in their blood sugar levels. People who wear contact lenses may make fewer tears or have dry eyes.

As with any medicine, patients taking COREG CR should first tell their doctor what other medicines they are taking. COREG CR should be taken with food.
